The Iowa State Cyclones return to Big 12 action at home, tonight, against Colorado. The Cyclones are 2-3 in the league race and coach Greg McDermott says he is concerned about a Colorado team that is 1-4 in the league race.

He says the shooting of the Buffaloes has impressed him and they’re not far away from having a few more conference wins as they’ve been in a good position in most of the games.

McDermott says Colorado is much better than their record, and are a dangerous team with two seniors who’re playing well.

First-year Colorado coach Jeff Bzdelik admits the program is going through a transition year. He says the need to continue to grow and focus on the bigger picture, not the desire to win immediately.

Bzdelik says the Cyclones cause him concern becasue they share the basketball and do a lot of nice things defensively. Iowa State is 12-8 overall. Colorado is 9-10.
