The Iowa Hawkeyes are on the road in the Big Ten to take on Minnesota. The Hawks are 4-7 in the league race after a near upset of eighth ranked Wisconsin while the Gophers are 4-5 in conference play. Iowa coach Todd Lickliter says the Gophers are an aggressive team that plays really well. He says his team needs to make better decisions in close games.

Lickliter says that’s what he has talked to the team about, being involved, knowing the game, the time the score, the situations. The Hawks have been playing better as of late and juniore forward Cyrus Tate hopes that will translate into a road win.

Tate says they know they can compete with teams in the Big Ten, they just have to make some plays.

Tate says the Hawks have more confidence on the road than they did earlier in the season. He says they won’t put a lot of pressure on themselves, they will just go out and play their game.

The Hawks are 11-13 overall.
