The 14th ranked Drake Bulldogs will try, again, to wrap up the Missouri Valley Conference title when they visit UNI. The Bulldogs had their 21 game winning streak snapped with a three point loss at Southern Illinois on Wednesday night and needed a late rally to beat the Panthers in the first meeting in Des Moines. Drake coach Keno Davis says the Panthers did a good job of slowing the tempo in the first matchup.

Davis says some teams will be more patient on the road than they will be on the road. He says they have a team that’s good enough to win, but they don’t have the team that can force the tempo. Davis says UNI will be able to dictate the tempo.

Davis says UNI is tough to stop because of their balance and it begins inside with Eric Coleman. He says Coleman and Jordan Egelseder inside have good guards outside that make them more dangerous. Drake is 13-1 in the Valley and 22-2 overall. The Panthers are 7-7 in the league race and 15-10 overall.
