Iowa City High outscored Cedar Falls 17-6 in the fourth quarter as the Little Hawks posted a 52-40 win and avenged a regular season loss to the Tigers. Senior guard Kim Rickels says after they were beaten in overtime last time they played, "We just knew, oh my God, we just knew we were gonna beat them this time," she says.

Rickels finished with 8 points and 7 assists for the Little Hawks. Rickels says it feels great to play with a team you trust and to get payback for the team that beat you before.

Laura Johnson led Cedar Falls with 16 points as the Tigers close the season 19-5. Cedar Falls coach Dan List says this is a group that works very hard and plays well together and probably one of the most enjoyable groups he’s had.
