Iowa travels to Penn State tonight in a Big Ten matchup. Iowa coach Todd Lickliter will have the conference player of the week, Cyrus Tate in his lineup. Lickliter says the honor is well deserved.

Lickliter says the only thing Tate has been concerned about is helping the team win, and he says when you focus on helping others and doing your job, then sometime individual success comes along. Lickliter says Tate would take a win anytime over the individual honor.

Iowa is in the middle of the conference standings with three games to go, but Lickliter says they aren’t talking about winning to help improve their seed in the conference tournament. Lickliter says they aren’t thinking about seeding, they’re focusing on the same things they have all season, trying to get better and preparing for what’s going to be a tough test at Penn State. Iowa is 12-16 overall and 5-10 in the conference, while Penn State is 12-14 and 4-10 in the conference.
