A north-central Iowa man, jailed in the murder of his brother, faces new charges after an attack on a Hamilton County jailer Sunday night in Webster City. The 25-year-old Michael Lindseth, of Ellsworth, is facing charges on the attack that happened just after nine at the jail where the jailer was allegedly attacked by Lindseth.

The jailer was taken to Hamilton Hospital in Webster City for treatment and was later released. Lindseth was to have made an appearance before a magistrate on the incident. Last December, Michael Lindseth was charged with first-degree murder in the death of his brother, 24-year-old Douglas Lindseth at the family home near Ellsworth. The murder trial is slated to begin July 29th in Hamilton County District Court.
