An Illinois man is facing time in prison for trying to meet a young girl in Iowa for sex. Twenty-nine-year-old Charles Christopher was sentenced this week to ten years in prison for attempted enticement of a minor to engage in illicit sexual activities.
A federal judge in Davenport also ordered the Rock Falls, Illinois man to serve supervised release for the rest of his life and pay $100 to the Crime Victims Fund. Christopher was convicted of using the internet, between April and September of 2006, to meet a 13 year old Burlington girl for sex. The girl was actually an undercover cop.
