A Remsen man is being treated for burn injuries after an explosion at an Alton business. Fire investigators say 31-year-old Matthew Galles was unloading grain from a semi at Midwest Farmers Cooperative when the explosion occurred.
Galles is hospitalized at a burn center in Lincoln. The preliminary investigation indicates the explosion damaged equipment and one of the six concrete grain storage silos at the agri-business on the town’s north side.
