Fort Dodge police arrested a 15-year-old boy Monday in connection with a shooting early Saturday that killed a Fort Dodge man. Bryce Ladaris Gully was arrested without incident and is charged with first-degree robbery in connection with the shooting of 40-year-old Matthew Huffman.

Huffman was taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center for treatment of his wounds and died a short time later. Fort Dodge Police Chief Doug Utley said the investigation behind the shooting is continuing and additional charges are pending.

Gully was arrested at around 1:30 yesterday afternoon. Also yesterday morning, Fort Dodge authorities responded to rumors that Gully might show up at Fort Dodge Senior High with a gun. Officers were sent to the school. The Senior High was placed on alert until the time of Gully’s arrest.
