Congressman Bruce Braley, a Democrat from Waterloo, changed his vote from "no" to "yes" on the Wall Street bailout bill which cleared the U.S. House this afternoon. The four other members of Iowa’s congressional delegation voted as they had last Friday when a similar bill failed in the House — meaning Democratic Congressmen Dave Loebsack of Mount Vernon and Leonard Boswell of Des Moines voted "yes" and Republican Congressmen Tom Latham of Ames and Steve King of Kiron voted "no."

The bailout plan was expanded in the senate to include tax breaks and other items, and both of Iowa’s U.S. senators — Republican Chuck Grassley and Democrat Tom Harkin — voted for it on Wednesday night.

Earlier this morning, Braley issued a statement explaining why he was voting "yes" on the revampe bailout plan.  Read it here.
