A Southeast Polk school bus driver and two students were injured when the bus rolled over this morning. Jasper County Chief Deputy, John Halferty, says the accident happened on a county road.

Halferty says the initial information is that the driver turned into a private drive to turn around, and the bus went into the east ditch rolled over onto its left side. Halferty says they don’t have any information on what may’ve cause the accident.

The Iowa State Patrol says the driver was 74-year-old Floyd Seiberling and the two passengers where 14-year-old Elizabeth Nelson and 15-year-old Jeff Nelson. The Patrol says Seiberling was taken to the hospital, but the two passengers were not taken to the hospital.
