An award winning police officer in western Iowa was arrested this week for drunken driving. Officer Terry Cozad was named the Council Bluffs Police Department’s officer of the year earlier this year.
Cozad has been on paid administrative leave since his arrest Sunday night in Mills County. Authorities say he refused to take an alcohol breath test. Cozad has been with Council Bluffs police since 1999.
