The Iowa State Cyclones host Texas A@M in their annual homecoming contest. The Cyclones are looking to turn things around after dropping their last five games. Cyclone coach Gene Chizik says it will be a great homecoming crowd and an opponent with a lot of history, and the team should be excited to play.

After a 56-3 loss to Texas a year ago the Cyclones rebounded with a near upset of Oklahoma and finished the season strong. He says it was a game where they were able to come out and work and put the tough loss behind them. Chizik says he expects the team to do the same thing this year.

A@M is just 2-5 overall and 0-3 in the Big 12 under first-year coach Mike Sherman but Chizik says the Aggies are making progress. He says they have some good football players and he says it is a coaching transition and by this game they are starting to get the new system.

Kickoff in Jack Trice Stadium is six o’clock.
