UNI coach Mark Farley says there is a possibility that quarterback Pat Grace could return for this weekend’s game at Western Illinois. Grace injured his knee in a victory over North Dakota State and redshirt freshman Zach Davis led the Panther offense in a 21-20 win at Youngstown State.

Farley says he was "very pleased" with Davis’ play especially since injuries caused him to play with a rooking center and without some of his other supporting cast. Farley says Davis performed well in his first start, making some good throws, and managing the offense without any turnovers.

Farley says a decision on Grace will be mad on game day. He says Davis is the starter now and they will monitor and make a decision Grace later in the week. The Panthers are tied with Southern Illinois at the top of the Missouri Valley standings. Western Illinois is right behind at 3-1.

Farley says Western is "the real deal," and are as good as they have ever been. The Panthers are 6-2 overall.
