There’s a report of possible partisan political sign thefts in Northwest Iowa. The Clay County Republican Party chair, George Moriarity, says some 50 McCain-Palin yard signs have been reported stolen, including a string of thefts near the country club in Spencer.

He says the signs disappeared long before last week’s strong winds. Moriarity says some 20 badly damaged McCain signs were dropped off at Republican Headquarters, and it isn’t clear of why they were left off. The Clay County Sheriff and Spencer police say they’ve had no reports of Obama campaign signs being stolen.
