A Waterloo policeman was involved in a crash early Wednesday morning.  According to a report from the Iowa State Highway Patrol, it happened just before one o’clock Wednesday morning.

Thirty-one-year-old Waterloo policeman Dustin Yates was driving a squad car which collided with another car being driven by 18-year-old Jarvis Boggs of Waterloo. The 18-year-old was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals. The policeman and two others teens who were riding in the other car with Boggs were taken to a hospital in Waterloo for treatment of minor injuries.

According to the state patrol, the policeman was driving north on a Waterloo street and the other car was driving east when the two "collided in the middle of (an) intersection." Authorities say the investigation of the accident continues.
