Iowa State snapped a six game losing streak in convincing fashion. The Cyclones roared out to a 37-9 lead at the half and hammered Colorado 70-42 in the Big-12.

Iowa State coach Greg McDermott says he was proud of the way the team competed as they had a little extra edge. McDermott says his team did a much better job on defense than they did in the first matchup in Boulder. He says they were in the right place and put more pressure on the ball.

McDermott says he is happy for the players and fans that the losing skid is over. He says there are places where you can have a 6 game losing streak and nobody would notice, but he says Iowa State is not one of them. McDermott says they are working to turn things around.

ISU is now 2-7 in the league race and visits Oklahoma State this weekend.
