An April sixth court date is set for a northwest Iowa man who faces six new charges after an animal neglect investigation. The Plymouth County Sheriff’s office charged 28-year-old Andrew Vaske of rural Remsen with failing to dispose of two dead animals at two locations and failing to vaccinate four dogs.

The latest charges are in addition to one animal neglect charge filed about a week ago when sheriff’s deputies seized about 30 head of cattle and found dead cattle. Authorities claim the animals lacked feed and water. Vaske has a March 30th court date for a plea-taking on the animal neglect charge.
