2010 Mustang Those who’ve always wished they owned a sports car could see that wish come true while also helping hundreds of ill kids.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Iowa is raffling off a 2010 Mustang convertible. Foundation executive director, Brett Ridge, says they started a car raffle a couple of years ago at their annual Des Moines fundraiser.

He says they decided to “step it up” this year and the Mustang is a new model and body style and so they got a custom made car for this year’s raffle. Ridge says it will be the first car of its kind in Iowa. Ridge says the tickets for the car are on sale now.

The tickets are one hundred dollars each and they will sell a maximum of 700 tickets. He says you don’t have to be on hand to win the drawing for the car. Ridge says the proceeds of the raffle help with the foundation’s mission.

Ridge says all the money goes toward helping grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. He says the wishes are fulfilled for kids across the state, and just because this event is in Des Moines, that doesn’t mean the money stays in Des Moines. Ridge says the best way to get a ticket is to give them a call.

You can call them at 800-797-wish to order a ticket, or call 515-334-2636. You can find out more about the Make-a-Wish Foundation on their website .
