Severe weather stormed across Iowa overnight, spinning off at least two tornadoes in central Iowa and a third twister in southwest Iowa. Roger Valhollek is a forecaster for the National Weather Service.

He says touchdowns were reported near Grimes and Adel, in addition to a "rope" tornado in Cass County. There are reports of minor damage to trees and power lines, and no injuries. Parts of the region had quarter-sized hail and winds up to 70 miles an hour.

Marshalltown reports getting two-and-a-quarter inches of rain in 15 minutes.
