A high-speed chase last night spanned parts of Nebraska and Iowa. A Nebraska State Patrol airplane clocked a motorcycle buzzing along near the Blair Airport in Washington County, north of Omaha, at 93 miles-an-hour.

A trooper on the ground tried to intercept the cycle which sped away even faster, topping out over 150 miles-an-hour. The motorcyclist zipped through Omaha and onto the Interstate 680 bridge into Iowa, but didn’t get far, as he ran out of gas near the 1 mile marker.

The chase had covered 60 miles in about 40 minutes. Authorities say 20-year-old James McPeck of Omaha is jailed in Council Bluffs on a host of charges.
