The senior was a standout on the mound and at the plate. Spurgeon was 3-1 on the week and in 28 innings yielded eight runs and struck out 40 batters. She tossed a no-hitter and struck out 12 in a victory over Melcher-Dallas and followed that up with a two hit shutout in a win over Davis County. She also batted .461 on the week and drove in three runs.
