One person was killed, another seriously injured, in a single-vehicle rollover accident Sunday morning east of Yale in Guthrie County.  According to the Iowa State Patrol, 28-year-old Adam Anderson, of Bagley, was killed and 27-year Thomas Dugan, of Perry, was critically injured during the crash that happened at around 6:30 AM at the intersection of 160th Street and Wink Avenue.

Officials aren’t certain which of the men were driving, but the 2003 Ford Mustang they were in was traveling at a high rate of speed south on Wink Avenue, when the road changed from hard surface to gravel.

When the Mustang came upon the gravel surface, it began to fishtail out of control and entered the east ditch, where it rolled end-over-end several times, ejecting both men before finally coming to rest on its top.

The Patrol says Anderson died at the scene. Dugan was flown by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, where a report on his condition was not immediately available.
