Davenport police have arrested one of two men wanted in connection with a homicide in that city a week ago. Robert Barnes turned himself in at the police station on Monday. He’s charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon. Still at large is 26-year-old Aki Ross. Ross is charged with first-degree murder in the central city shooting death of 18-year-old Joevante Howard of Davenport.
Police say Howard and some friends got into a dispute with another group of people, who went into a nearby house. Some members of that group then came back outside with a gun and began firing. Howard was hit and died a few hours later.
