The Boone County Sheriff’s Department has identified the victim of an ATV accident Tuesday as 17-year-old Adam Brekke. The accident happened on Highway 30 west of Boone when the ATV operated by Brekke became close to the edge of Honey Creek Ravine and rolled off the edge into the creek.
Brekke was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger, 17-year-old Alex Appenzeller was taken to the Boone County Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and later released.
