After a late season run the Iowa Hawkeye baseball team is preparing for tomorrow’s start of the Big Ten tournament in Columbus, Ohio. The Hawks won seven of their last eight games to grab the fourth seed in the six team field.

Iowa coach Jack Dahm says his team played well in pressure situations over the last few weeks. He says it was a young team that continued to grow and grow through the season. Dahm says the last three weeks in particular they knew they had to win some series and knew the Big Ten was up for grabs.

Iowa closed the regular season with a three game sweep of Purdue. They will take on the Boilermakers in the opening round of the tournament.
