A crash on eastern Iowa’s Highway 61 on Monday took the life of a Muscatine man. The Iowa State Patrol says 72-year-old Robert E. Lee Anderson was northbound when his Case Backhoe was rear-ended by a northbound semi-tractor driven by 76-year-old Robert Earl Starbuck of Clinton.

Anderson died at the scene, and Starbuck was taken by Muscatine Ambulance to Genesis East in Davenport for treatment of injuries. The semi is owned by Triple Crown Services of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
