Some Iowa sweet corn growers are reporting a big drop in the harvest this season thanks to the weather. Mount Vernon produce grower John Krull says he isn’t picking near as much sweet corn this year.

“About half, 50 or 60 percent of normal,” Krull said. He blames cold temperatures in May for stunting his early planted corn and wet weather in June.
