Authorities in southwest Iowa are asking for the public’s help in finding three men who robbed and attacked a Council Bluffs man in his home on Thursday morning. Sergeant Dwayne Riche, of the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Department, says the unidentified man claims he heard a noise at his door about 7:30 A.M. and as he went to investigate, the men broke in.

One of the men was carrying a pole-cue type weapon, another had a brick or a broken rock and the third may have been carrying a knife. Sergeant Riche says the 39-year-old victim resisted being tied up by the three assailants. Two of the men ransacked the residence while the third man tried to tie the victims’ wrists with zip-ties.

The victim was injured. He didn’t get a good look at the suspects, but described two as white and thin, while one was tall, the other average height. The third man was of a darker complexion. The suspects made off with an undetermined amount of cash and prescription medications.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Department at 712- 890-2200.
