A body has been found in a car in central Iowa that’s likely that of a missing Carroll woman. Authorities are reporting the vehicle of 38-year-old Staci Wilson was found Thursday afternoon in a soybean field near Carroll.

Police Chief Jeff Cayler says there is no sign of foul play and the car was undamaged. The body had not been positively identified as yet and it was taken to the state medical examiner’s office for a weekend autopsy.

Chief Cayler said a pilot flying over the field by the Carroll airport noticed the vehicle and then notified authorities.

Wilson was reported missing late last week after leaving her home without any personal belongings or notifying friends or family.
