Iowa State is now 1-2 after dropping their Big-12 opener to Kansas State 27-20 in Arrowhead Stadium. The Wildcats scored the final ten points to win a game that was close throughout. Once again the run defense struggled for I.S.U. as Kansas State piled up 262 yards of rushing, including 181 from Daniel Thomas who gave K-state the lead for good with a two yard touchdown run.

Alexander Robinson rushed for 82 yards for the Cyclones and Austen Arnaud was 15 of 27 through the air for 122 yards and a touchdown. Arnaud left the game with an injured left shoulder on the final play of the third quarter but did return to finish the game and is expected to rest it this week leading up to the U.N.I. game.

U.N.I. is also looking to bounce back from a loss this week as the 10th ranked Panthers lost to #11 Stephen F. Austin 22-20. The Panthers hurt their own cause with three fumbles inside the Stephen F. Austin 20 yard line as they see their record fall to 1-1.
