Drake heads to Florida for a key Pioneer Football League race against Jacksonville University. Both teams are off to 2-0 starts in the league race. Bulldog coach Chris Creighton says Jacksonville won the league two years ago and could have won it this year, and though it is early, he says it’s a “pretty big game.”

This game matches Drake’s top rated defense against a Jacksonville offense that averages 464 yards per game. He says their defense will be tested on the ground and in the air. Jacksonville quarterback Josh McGregor has thrown for 17 touchdowns and more than 307 yards per game. Creighton says McGregor is very accurate and can move his feet and finds the right receiver.

Drake is a minus-two in turnover margin this season and Creighton says that needs to change. He say they focus on the turnovers, but have not won the turnover-ratio battle yet this year and hope to start this Saturday.
