The outright lead in the Iowa Conference is on the line in Cedar Rapids on Saturday when Coe hosts Wartburg. Coe already owns a victory over third place Central and would clearly be in the drivers seat with a win.

Coe coach Steve Staker says they have to play all the games, but he says the players are not stupid and know the importance of this game. He says there is plenty on the line for both teams as it is a huge game all the way around and he looks for the team to play well.

After finishing 6-4 in 2009 Wartburg has rebounded and is in the thick of the title chase again. Staker says they have a quarterback now that is doing a good job of running things and that has helped them out. He says they have a stout defense and have always been a good defensive team.

Staker is concerned about Wartburg’s quickness on defense as they move around a lot and do a lot of blitzing. He says they have to be able to handle the blitz and attack it.
