The Iowa State Cyclones can climb above the 500 mark with a victory at home over Kansas. I.S.U. is coming off an upset win at Texas and will finish up with three of its last four at home. Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads says they will take advantage of the energy produced by the crowd and the ability to be at home and prepare and then drive five minutes to the stadium.

The Jayhawks are 2-5 under first year coach Turner Gill. Rhoads says in his first year of transition at Iowa State with Dan McCarney and later at Pittsburgh, they were both different transitions with lots of hurdles and that’s what Gill is facing right now.

Rhoads is not sure which quarterback the Cyclones will see on Saturday. He says they won’t know how healthy they are until they see them out there playing. Rhoads says they don’t put together two game plans, but put together a plan with as much information as you think you need.
