A car crash in eastern Iowa has taken the life of a Denison woman. It happened a little after 7 Tuesday night on northbound Highway 218 at mile marker 89.
The Iowa State Patrol says 29-year-old Misty Underwood was killed when the car she was riding in was struck from behind by a semi driven by 34-year-old Brandon Bachman of Mount Pleasant. He escaped injury. The driver of the car and another passenger were injured and taken to University Hospitals in Iowa City. The accident remains under investigation.
