A Clinton man charged with two counts of first-degree murder and arson is facing the charges in court. Testimony got underway this week in the murder case against 23-year-old Dameon Tucker.
He is accused of murdering 22-year-old Angel Herman and her two-year-old son in Herman’s Clinton apartment last year. The prosecution says it will prove Tucker killed Herman and then set the apartment on fire to try and cover up the killing. The boy died from smoke inhalation in the fire. The defense says there many holes in the prosecution’s case. Testimony is expected to run into early next week.
