Iowa State used a 23-1 run in the opening half to blow the game open as the Cyclones crushed Drake 91-43 in Hilton Colesium, their largest margain of victory ever in the series.

I.S.U. coach Fred Hoiberg says they definitely came out ready to play and he could see it in the pregame shoot around that the team had a ton of energy. Scott Christopherson led Iowa State with a career high 29 points and finished 11-of-11 from the field. Hoiberg says Christopherson was shooting it well in the shoot around and he knew he was going to have a good night.

The Cyclones are 3-0 and Christopherson says they have gained a lot of confidence. He says it is fun to be out there and play hard and unselfish. He says that is winning basketball and something they haven’t done in the past. Iowa State will play Creighton and former coach Greg McDermott on Sunday afternoon in Wells Fargo Arena.
