A northeast Iowa man has been sentenced to spend a decade in a federal prison on a child porn charge. Thirty-seven-year-old Travis Nissen of Waterloo used to live in Tripoli. This past June, Nissen admitted he had child pornography on his computer from the middle of 2008 to the beginning of 2009 and he pled guilty to one count of possessing child pornography.

He was sentenced this week to 10 years in a federal prison. There is no parole in the federal system and after Nissen serves the 10 years, he’ll be under the supervision of a parole officer for another decade.
