The Iowa football team has resumed preparations for the December 28th Insight Bowl against Missouri. It will give the Hawks a chance to finish on a positive note a season that has not lived up to expectations. Iowa is 7-5 and last week leading receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos was suspended after being arrested on drug charges.

Coach Kirk Ferentz has had other teams in this situation before and they responded with solid efforts in the bowl game. He says they finished up in less than stellar fashion and they will work to make this a better representation of the type of team they are. Ferentz says they will have to play better because Missouri is a very good team.

The December 28th date of the game has condensed the practice schedule and Ferentz says they hope to have the game plan in by the end of this week. Ferentz says they will have a decent idea by the time their finals are over about what they are going to do.

Missouri is 10-2 and tied for the Big 12 North division title.
