Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg says no decision has been made on Jamie Vanderbeken’s status for Wednesday night’s game at Texas A&M. The senior forward sprained an ankle in Saturday’s loss at Kansas. Hoiberg says Vanderbeken is very sore, but x-rays this morning were negative and they will continue to monitor him. He says there is not a great chance he would play, but “you never know.”

Vanderbeken is averaging nearly 12 points per game in Big 12 play and is shooting about 45% from three point range. Hoiberg says he will continue to get treatments and they will see if he can go. He says Vanderbeken can really help spread out the floor and they will see what happens, but won’t take any chances with his health.

The Cyclones are 1-9 in the Big 12 and 14-11 overall.
