Three men arrested today in north-central Iowa’s Worth County are accused of raping a woman while she was unconscious.
The alleged incident took place on December 5 at the home of Tyler Wirtjes, 27, of Manly. According to court documents, Wirtjes and a 27-year-old woman were drinking alcohol with two 19-year-old men; Jason Walker of Manly and Zachary Patterson of Mooresville, North Carolina.
The woman passed out and was carried into her bedroom by Wirtjes. He’s accused of sexually assaulting the woman with a sex toy as the other two men watched and helped him replace batteries in the device.
After the two younger men left, Wirtjes is accused of sexually assaulting the woman again and taking photos. Wirtjes, Walker and Patterson each face a charge of second-degree sexual abuse.
