A car hit a school bus in eastern Iowa this morning, injuring three people, including two school children. Iowa County Sheriff’s officials say the English Valley School District bus was stopped on Highway 149 in North English when it was struck from behind by a car.

Two children on the bus and the driver of the car, 18-year-old Michelle O’Conner of Williamsburg, were taken to hospitals. All three were treated for minor injuries. O’Conner was cited for “failure to stop.” Approximately 40 children were on the bus when the crash occured at 8 a.m. Another bus took the children on to school.
