Spring drills come to an end on Saturday for the Drake football team when the Bulldogs host their annual Blue-White game. Coach Chris Creighton says they stretched things out over five weeks so they could practice three days a week and he says the practices have been very competitive.

Drake has come up short of the Pioneer Football League championship the past two years and Creighton says improvement on offense is the key to getting over the hump. Creighton says he is waiting for the game Saturday to give a final evaluation, but he says they have seen a noticeable difference.

The Bulldogs will host their annual “Youth Day” on Friday and from 4:30 to 5:30 all elementary kids are invited to the stadium and the players will take them through some drills and sign autographs.
