Sioux City police are continuing to look for leads in a weekend murder. Police Lieutenant Mark Kirkpatrick, says officers responded to a report of a shooting around 11 o’clock Sunday. Officers discovered 52-year-old Tony Canfield suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

He says it seems to be some sort of home invasion or robbery, and he says Canfield’s wife was present at the time. The wife described the suspects as three black males, in their late teens or early twenties with slender builds and wearing dark baggy jeans and hoodies. Kirkpatrick says they need help in finding the suspects.

Kirkpatrick says their investigative service bureau is follwoing up leads in trying to identify the suspects, and anyone who may’ve been in the area is asked to call police. Kirkpatrick says you can call 712-258-TIPS with any information.
