A construction worker was killed in northern Iowa over the weekend. A 60-year-old man was fatally injured at an excavation site near Colwell. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office said that Dennis Knecht of Charles City became trapped under a skid loader at about 4:20 P.M. Saturday.
Knecht was taken to a Charles City hospital where he died of his injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
