The Louisiana-Monroe football team continues a tough stretch with this weekend’s visit to Iowa. The Warhawks are 1-2 on the season after a 38-17 loss at TCU.

Coach Todd Berry says they had a bad 3rd quarter with a kickoff return for a touchdown and then a fumble on the next possession that led to a 14-point swing. He says the rest of the game was pretty even, and he is pleased with the team other than that 3rd quarter.

Berry says he is concerned about how his team will hold up during a tough stretch that also included a 34-0 loss at Florida State. He says they’ve had to play three emotional games that includes two nationally ranked teams and then they play another good team this week.

Berry says it’s sometimes hard to keep on the emotional high four weeks in a row. Berry says a young offense has played well against solid competition. He says the freshmen offensive linemen have played well against some impressive teams in Florida State and TCU.
