A Stacyville teenager is dead after her car collided with a school bus near St. Ansgar on Tuesday afternoon. The Iowa State Patrol says a car being driven by 17-year-old Allison Smith rear-ended a school bus that was stopped on U.S. Highway 218 about three miles east of St. Ansgar.
Smith, who was a junior at St. Ansgar High School, was killed in the accident. The school bus was driven by 65-year-old Rosalee Lowe, also of Stacyville. No other injuries were reported and the accident remains under investigation.
