Three north-central Iowa resident are facing charges in a child sex and prostitution case. Federal prosecutors say 55-year-old Michael Malcom of Humboldt and two young women from Fort Dodge conspired to sexually exploit children between 2007 and 2010.

The women are identified as 21-year-old Ashley Prince and 23-year-old Nikki Fawcett. An indictment unsealed this week alleges Malcolm, Prince and Fawcett “employed, used, persuaded, induced and enticed one or more minors under the age of 18 to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purposes of producing visual depictions of the conduct.”

Malcolm and Fawcett are also accused of transporting persons, including a person under 18, across a state line with the intent to engage those individuals in prostitution. All three suspects appeared in federal court in Sioux City and were released on bond.

Their trial is set for February 6th.
