Nineteenth-ranked Nebraska used a late 12-2 run to taker the lead for good in a 77-72 win over the Iowa Hawkeye women in Iowa City. Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says rebounding and three point shooting were the difference in the game.

“We outrebounded them by three in the first half, and we got outrebounded by 9 in the second half, so they just had a lot more opportunities. And they just put their three’s down, they shot 52% from three-point range and we shot 12,” Bluder said.

Iowa made only two of 16 from three point range and that area continues to struggle. “I feel like it’s really a mental issue, we’ve got to get our confidence back,” Bluder said.

Jamie Printy had a big game in the loss with 27 points, five assists, three steals and no turnovers. Bluder says her team played well, but Nebraska made some bigger shots.

Iowa falls to 2-2 in the Big Ten and 10-7 overall.
