A two-vehicle accident near Harcourt in Webster County on Saturday morning claimed the life of a Gowrie man. The name of the victim is 47-year-old Edward Frazier.
Reportedly a 1999 Buick LeSabre driven by Frazier dropped off the roadway, over-corrected, losing control and slid broadside into the side of a 2004 Jeep Liberty operated by 32-year-old Shawn Morgan of Harcourt. The Morgan Jeep was stopped at the entrance to a convenience store at the time.
Frazier was pronounced dead on arrival at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.
Morgan was treated at Trinity and later released. The accident remains under investigation.
